LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Authorities reopened an off-ramp connected to Summerlin Parkway early Tuesday morning after a one-car rollover.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, a car had overturned onto rocks around 10:40 p.m. Monday on the Buffalo Road off-ramp onto Summerlin Parkway.

NHP said a 25-year-old woman was driving with a 53-year-old male passenger.

"They looked like they were attempting to exit the off-ramp when the driver did leave the left portion of the roadway and continued down to the rocks, and, unfortunately, they overturned," said NHP Trooper Loy Hixson.

Both passengers were transported to University Medical Center. The man in the vehicle sustained critical injuries, authorities said.

The Nevada Highway Patrol closed the off-ramp for at least three hours while investigating the scene.
