LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A long-term road closure is scheduled to begin Monday, Jan. 23 behind the Las Vegas Strip.

Three roads located behind Flamingo Las Vegas, Imperial Palace, and Harrah's Las Vegas will be closed to make way for construction of The LINQ, an entertainment and retail corridor planned to open between Flamingo and Imperial Palace in 2013.

The road closures will begin at 6 a.m. and include Ida Avenue and Winnick Avenue, between Audrie and Koval; Audrie Street will also be closed north of Albert Avenue.

Drivers who attempt to access these center Strip properties from rear entrances may need to seek alternate routes; however, current employee pick up and drop off areas for these resorts will remain unaffected.
