Faith Lutheran Junior/Senior High School students will spend Friday helping 35 local charities and elementary schools throughout the Las Vegas area as part of the school's Middle School Service Event.
More than 650 students, teachers, and parent chaperones are participating.
Some of the organizations the students will help include Family Promise of Las Vegas, Variety Day Center, Opportunity Village and Helping Hands.
The students will assist veterans and seniors with household chores, read to at-risk children, and help organize food pantries.
The service projects are part of the school's Christian mission, which is now in its sixth year.
"Our students love the Middle School Service Event because it allows them to help others and see a side of Las Vegas society they normally don't get to experience," said Faith Lutheran CEO Steve Buuck. "Our students get just as much, if not more, out of it then those they serve."
