Celebrity, rare bikes up for bids in Vegas auction

The rubber hits the road in Las Vegas starting Thursday at the Rio Hotel and Casino for the inaugural Las Vegas Premier Motorcycle Auction.

Motorcycle collectors from across the country are expected to see more than 400 motorcycles, including a rare 117-year-old Roper steam-powered motorcycle that is expected to set a new world record for a motorcycle sold at auction.

Other exciting bikes for sale include 11 motorcycles from Criss Angel's "MINDFREAK" Collection, five competition motorcycles from the Michael Jordan Motorsports Collection and historic 19th century and early 20th century motorcycles.

The auction is Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
