A Las Vegas teenager who lost his life in a random act of violence was honored for a gift he passed on well after his death.
A florograph of Aric Brill was featured on a float being used at the Rose Bowl Parade Monday.
Palm Mortuary was one of those who provided the portrait to be used in this year's Donate Life parade float.
Brill died in February 2009 at the age of 16 in an apparent random act of violence, organizers said.
Brill, though, made the decision before his death to become an organ donor.
He was one of 72 being featured on the float, all honored as those who donated organs and tissue after their passing.
