LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A teen arrested for a home invasion and sexual assault of a woman inside the residence told police he broke into the home and forced the woman to give her money.

Kyle Wilson, 19, was arrested Saturday as police were trying to question him about a series of home invasions, including one that took place last Wednesday in the 3600 block of Gulliver Street in the northeast side of Las Vegas.

According to an arrest report, Wilson allegedly kicked down the front door of the home and went to a bedroom where the victim was lying in bed with her three week old child.

Wilson demanded money from the woman and told her he had a gun, police said. The woman led the suspect to her mother-in-law's room where he told her to open drawers where the money could be.

As she was doing this, the suspect kept hitting her in the head and arm. She collapsed after one of those hits and that was about the moment the sexual assault occurred.

Police said a used cigarette was left at the scene. In addition, detectives were able to catch up with Wilson after a witness told police he came across someone fitting Wilson's description.

Wilson was captured on a residential security video near the scene of another home invasion he was suspected in. Detectives were able to identify Wilson through this and a description from the victim.

Wilson was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charges including sexual assault, sexual assault with a deadly weapon, home invasion, kidnapping, attempted robbery and battery.
