LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Las Vegas regained the record of the most runners dressed in Santa suits at Saturday's Great Santa Run.
The seventh annual event, which was an official FOX5 Take 5 to Care event, had 8,123 participants run the 5K and one mile walk at Town Square, according to organizers.
Early estimates showed more than $350,000 was raised in the run.
The money raised from the event supports Opportunity Village.
The World Santa Challenge record was previous held by a run in Liverpool, England which saw 7,326 participants.
A trophy officially recognizing the feat is heading to Las Vegas, organizers said.
