LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Local schools and charities came out the big winners in the annual Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

The golf tournament partnered with 85 schools and non-profits to raise $49,000 through the Tickets for Charity and Tickets for Schools fundraisers.

Participants sold daily ticket vouchers to the tournament, held Sept. 25-Oct. 2 at TPC Summerlin. Schools retained 100 percent of profits while charities were able to keep 50 percent of funds.

Among the top selling local schools were Southwest Career and Technical Academy, Tarkanian Middle School and Arbor View High School.

Among the non-profits involved were Eagle Quest, Nevada AIDS Project, and Nevada Health Centers.

The Tickets for Charity programs will return in 2012. Those interested in participating should visit www.jtshrinersopen.com.
