Hundreds of people are expected to attend a vigil Friday night for three girls struck by a car in a crosswalk in North Las Vegas one week ago.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at Eldorado Park, near the crosswalk where they were struck at Camino El Dorado and Bent Arrow.

Organizers said they have purchased 300 candles for the vigil.

One of the two girls who survived the accident -- six-year-old Alyssa Mowrey -- remains in critical condition at University Medical Center. Her five-year-old sister, Rain, is out of the hospital and recovering.

A third child, six-year-old Amelia Decker, was taken off life support Monday.

Mowrey's family has been updating her condition on Facebook, and a bank account has been set up at Wells Fargo. The account number is 7684421253.
