2nd Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade coming to downtown

For the second year Las Vegas is holding an official Halloween parade. The 2nd Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade will be held in downtown Las Vegas on Halloween night, Monday, Oct. 31.

If you'd like to be a part of the parade, you should arrive at the staging area, 4th Street and Hoover, beginning at 6 p.m. You should be in costume.

The all-ages parade, which starts at 7, will move northbound along 4th Street to Ogden, one block north of Fremont Street.

In addition to costumes, the parade is open to music and mobile artwork.

For large-scale art pieces, motorized vehicles, sound systems and large walking groups, you are asked to register at www.thelasvegashalloweenparade.com.

If you'd like to be part of the judged costume contests, register at the above website and in-person the night of the parade at 4th Street and Hoover. Categories includes best group costume, most creative Las Vegas-themed costume, funniest costume, best-lighted costume, weirdest costume, best float, best Las Vegas Halloween parade showgirl and scariest costume.
