LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A concerned neighbor's report of a possible burglary led to a marijuana grow house bust, Las Vegas Metro police said Wednesday.

Authorities said they received a report of "something suspicious" happening in the 7700 block of West Mesa Verde Lane around 1 a.m.

Officers checked it out and discovered a grow house instead.

Police say 305 marijuana plants were found but that it appears most of the mature plants had been removed from the house.

Further, police say the house had been converted specifically for the cultivation of marijuana and contained roughly $45,000 worth of hydroponic growing equipment. The police report also says that electricity was being stolen from Nevada Energy and that the house's wiring was grossly overloaded, posing a fire threat.

It appears a break-in attempt was made on the house recently.

Police have not yet announced any arrests.
