Spirit Flight 245, en route to Los Angeles on Saturday, returned back to McCarran International Airport mid-flight due to a bomb threat, according to McCarran officials.
McCarran officials said the pilot informed McCarran ground control of the threat and turned the plane around for a security sweep of the aircraft and luggage on board.
The plane landed safely and all passengers were evacuated.
No bombs were found in the security sweep.
Passengers have been re-screened and can now board a new flight.
The suspect who made the threat is now in custody.
