LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Ron Paul supporters are known for being loyal and enthusiastic. Since the Iowa straw poll, Paul supporters are complaining the presidential candidate is being ignored and treated unfairly by the media, especially the Fox News Network.

"We are out here to protest Fox's unfair and unbalanced news coverage of Ron Paul," said David Hart, who organized the protest outside FOX5 Vegas' studio. "It was requested that we get to our Fox news affiliates."

FOX5 Vegas, KVVU, is owned by Meredith Corporation, not News Corps, owner of the Fox Network.

"That's a good point," Hart said. "To be fair and balanced, you're not Fox News. I understand that, but you're a Fox affiliate.

FOX5 Vegas shares video with the national Fox network. Local producers use national correspondents in the local newscast, but when it comes to the day to day operations, FOX5 Vegas decides what and how it will cover stories independently.

FOX5 Vegas has also dedicated many resources to covering Ron Paul's Las Vegas visits, including his last visit May 17.

"We appreciate that," Hart said. "That's a good point. I didn't see you there. I wasn't looking for you."

Other Paul supporters who turned out to protest at FOX5 said they believe their protest will get Paul some of the attention they believe has been unfairly given to other Republican presidential candidates.

"We're tired of the mainstream media just ignoring him," A.J. Mainbourg said. "He's not going to go away. We're not going to go away."
