The Nevada Physician Advisory Council has donated $10,000 to Baby's Bounty, a nonprofit organization that provides clothing and baby supplies to newborns of low-income families.
Baby's Bounty works with social service agencies such as hospitals, homeless shelters, safe havens, schools and family court to help identify new mothers in need.
The nonprofit provides valuable information about SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and safe sleeping tips for babies.
"Baby's Bounty has helped thousands of newborn babies in our valley. As a perinatologist who brings new life into this world every day, it gives me so much pleasure to help Baby's Bounty, and as a member of the Physicians Advisory Council I feel it's important to support nonprofit organizations in our community," said Joey Adashek, M.D., Desert Perinatal Associates and advisory council founding member.
