Lake Las Vegas paving way to brighter future

Lake Las Vegas is kicking off the start of reconstruction of Lake Las Vegas Parkway.

The project will include new curbing and street lights, and the roadway itself will be resurfaced and repaved.

The parkway will also be adding a bike lane, landscaping and a trail/sidewalk. Physical construction begins Aug. 10 and is expected to be completed by the end of October.

Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen and City Councilwoman Gerri Schroder joined other dignitaries this morning to celebrate one of many recent steps in the revitalization of the 3,600 acre residential and recreational community in Henderson.
