Victims in Henderson-bound plane crash identified

Investigators have preliminarily identified two people who were onboard a Henderson-bound aircraft that crashed in near the Grand Canyon over the weekend.

The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. Saturday somewhere in the northeast rim of the Grand Canyon in the DeMotte Park area.

Authorities were told by family members that Andrew Jay Weiner, 39, of Henderson, and Jacobe Daniel Foster, 32, of San Francisco, were supposed to arrive in Henderson Saturday.

Investigators were able to identify the two men also by driver's and pilot's licenses found at the crash site.

Investigators will continue to positively identify the victims in the crash.

A cause of the crash is not yet known.
