LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

An animal adoption event happened Sunday at Tivoli Village. All kinds of dogs were on display hoping to find new homes.

The Animal Foundation operates Nevada's largest open-admission non-profit shelter offering adoptions, spay and neuter and vaccination services.

"Come and adopt from our shelter," Joy Warren said, "The adoption includes everything. Spays, neuters, shots, rabies vaccinations, vet checks, and a bag of food.

Starting Aug. 1, if you schedule an appointment to spay or neuter your pet at the Animal Foundation, you will receive free vaccines for your pet for life. This promotion, called "Hot Shots" runs through the entire month of August.

The Animal Foundation receives more than 50,000 animals every year, about 136 every day. That is 2,000 more than Animal Care and Control of New York City.
