17 local Girl Scouts on a 19-day trip through India are safe following a probable terror attack in Mumbai, according to spokespersons for the organization.
The girls, who are with Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada, were in Mumbai just five days ago but have since left the city.
Three rush hour explosions in Mumbai's financial district killed at least 21 people and injured dozens more. India's home minister says the blasts appear to be a coordinated terror attack.
The Girl Scouts are in India to learn about Indian culture and provide service to local organizations which support women and children. The girls are scheduled to return to Las Vegas on July 24.
