LAS VEGAS (FOX5) - According to multiple sources, the NBA has canceled the 2011 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
FOX5 contacted officials at the Thomas & Mack Center, one of the sites of Summer League games for confirmation but were told the NBA has not confirmed the decision to them.
The collective bargaining agreement between the league's players and owners will expire on July 1.
There have been rumors swirling for months that the Summer League games would be canceled if there was no progress made in a new collective bargaining agreement.
The Summer League has been an annual event in Las Vegas since 2004 featuring newly drafted players by participating teams.
