Matt DeLuciaMatt DeLucia joined the FOX5 news team in January 2009.
He has covered a number of big stories in Las Vegas, including casino openings and closings, Presidential visits, and he was trackside at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway when Indy Car driver Dan Wheldon was killed in a 15-car wreck. Matt also introduced the world to the controversial "Stripper-Mobile" -- an advertising venture that featured a truck carrying live dancers on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Born and raised in southern New Jersey, Matt graduated with honors from La Salle University in Philadelphia, earning his degree in Communication.
He began his career while still in college, working as a reporter for the New Jersey Network. During the winter of 2006, he briefly ventured behind the camera and worked in production for NBC at the Olympic Games in Torino, Italy. Before coming to Las Vegas, Matt was a reporter at WSHM in Springfield, Massachusetts and WBOC in Salisbury, Maryland.
Matt has earned three Regional Emmy ® Awards for Team Coverage, Journalistic Enterprise, and News Writing. He was also named "Reporter of The Year" in 2012 by the Associated Press Television and Radio Association.
Matt is an avid Philly sports fan and enjoys spending time with family and friends on the east coast.
In his spare time, Matt enjoys traveling, golf, bowling, and most of all - eating new and interesting foods. He is a self-proclaimed foodie who is always looking for an interesting bite - and what better place for that than Las Vegas?
