FOX5 Vegas - KVVUMatt DeLucia

Matt DeLucia

Posted: Updated:

Matt DeLucia joined the FOX5 news team in January 2009.

He has covered a number of big stories, including presidential visits and the hotly contested 2010 U.S. Senate campaign. Matt also introduced the world to the notorious "Stripper-Mobile" -- an advertising venture that featured a truck carrying live dancers on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Before coming to Las Vegas, Matt was a reporter in Springfield, Massachusetts and Salisbury, Maryland.

Born and raised in southern New Jersey, Matt went on to earn a degree in Communication from La Salle University in Philadelphia.

He began his career while in college, working as a reporter for New Jersey Network. During the winter of 2006, he briefly ventured behind the camera and worked in production for NBC at the Olympic Games in Turin, Italy.

Matt has won several awards for his work, including the Las Vegas Electronic Media Award for Best Spot News Coverage, and Best Reporter. He was also honored by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters for his work on a program focusing on the rising homicide rate in Philadelphia.

Matt is an avid Philly sports fan and is still trying to find the perfect cheese steak in Las Vegas.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys traveling, along with spending time at the gym, the bowling alley and -- less frequently -- on the golf course.
