FOX5 Vegas - KVVUStefanie Jay

Stefanie Jay joined the FOX5 news team in July 2008.

She came to Las Vegas from KMID in Midland, Texas, where she was a reporter and weekend anchor. She covered a wide range of stories, including the raid of the Yearning for Zion Ranch and the tragic shooting deaths of three police officers. She also learned how to half-step, two-step and went to her first rodeo!

Stefanie was born and raised in Orange County, Calif., and graduated from San Diego State University. She was a dancer and cheerleader growing up, and coached several pee wee and high school teams. She loves spending time with family, friends, and love of her life, doggie Sadie Jay. And, she can never turn down a day at the beach!

In Las Vegas, Stefanie serves on the board for the National Alliance for Mental Illness to help spread awareness through education and community involvement.

When not chasing down a story, she likes to hike at Mt. Charleston, wakeboard at Lake Mead, catch a show on the Strip, or attempt to cook!
