KVVU FOX5 and Bally Technologies, Inc., a leader in slots, video machines, casino-management, and networked and server-based systems for the global gaming industry, and major supporter of Nevada Cancer Institute, is placing two brand-new Vegas Hits gaming machines on KVVU FOX 5's MORE show to raise awareness and funds for NVCI.

In March 2010, Bally began sponsoring the "Celebrity Spin Zone" segment that airs daily at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on FOX5's MORE celebrity, lifestyle, and entertainment show. The spins have raised more than $100,000 for NVCI as part of Bally's long-term financial commitment to the center.

A host of well-known national and local celebrities have played the Bally slot machine Cash Spin live on FOX5, including television host Joan Rivers, actor and comedian Brad Garrett, boxer Evander Holyfield, UFC fighter Randy Couture, American Idol's Kris Allen, and astronaut Buzz Aldrin. Now, the MORE set will be updated with new Bally games, which will continue to raise funds for NVCI.

"This has been a thrilling partnership over the past year," said Richard Haddrill, Bally's Chief Executive Officer. "It's been exciting to watch the celebrities play Bally's award-winning Cash Spin for a good cause. And, not only has it been fun to watch, it's been a great way to raise awareness on a regular, weekly basis about a very serious issue that unfortunately impacts many Nevadans."

The new MORE set will include a pair of Bally's record-breaking Vegas Hits games. The games, with toppers that closely resemble the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign, each have two spinning wheels and feature U-Spin™ gesture-control technology that senses both the pressure and speed of a person's hand gestures as they spin the virtual wheel on the special touch-enabled LCD.

The Vegas Hits games are a perfect fit for MORE, which is hosted by FOX5's Monica Jackson, Jason Feinberg, Rachel Smith and Arran Andersen in Las Vegas and focuses heavily on Las Vegas-related content. Dozens of Las Vegas Strip performers have appeared on the show and spun for charity, including Penn Jillette, Terry Fator, Carrot Top, the Chippendales, Criss Angel, and Rita Rudner.

"We are very excited about showcasing the new Bally game on FOX5 and continuing this amazing partnership with Bally Technologies," said Terri Peck, FOX5's Director of Marketing and Entertainment Programming. "Our MORE guests, celebrities, and viewers responded so well to Cash Spin we are sure that Vegas Hits will be nothing short of that – a true Vegas hit."

MORE personalities also have the ability to do remote celebrity spins at red-carpet events via the Cash Spin play-for-fun app for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Bally Technologies will soon be releasing a Vegas Hits app, enabling the MORE anchors to take Vegas Hits on the road with them.

"Bally Technologies has been an important partner in Nevada Cancer Institute's efforts to reduce the burden of cancer in Nevada and the nation," said Shelley B. Gitomer, vice president for development of NVCI. "The support of the company and its many generous employees is a testament to its ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of our state, and to all those whose lives have been affected by cancer."

The updated MORE Spin Zone continues a longstanding commitment Bally made to NVCI. In February 2009, the Company announced a long-term partnership with NVCI that includes a significant Company donation and a 100-percent Company match to all employee donations. Since then, Bally and its approximately 1,400 employees in Nevada have held fundraisers and instituted other initiatives to generate financial support for NVCI.

In addition, Bally adopted NVCI's Information & Resource Center, where families, patients, and anyone interested in health information can enjoy free access to some of the world's most progressive materials. The center also provides information on health and wellness, cancer and cancer treatment, coping, grief and loss, survivorship, and inspiration.
