D'Backs Release Tony Clark

(Sports Network) - The Arizona Diamondbacks released infielder Tony Clark on Sunday.

Clark batted .182 with four doubles, four homers and 11 runs batted in over 36 games for Arizona this season. The 37-year-old spent parts of five seasons with the D'Backs and hit .255 with 59 home runs and 178 RBI in 396 games.

For his career, Clark is a .262 hitter with 251 home runs and 824 RBI in 1,559 games with Detroit, Boston, the Mets, the Yankees, San Diego and Arizona.
