San Diego, CA -- (Sports Network) - Kyle Spain scored 16 points and collected six rebounds to lead the San Diego State Aztecs to a 57-46 victory over the UNLV Runnin' Rebels in a Mountain West Conference battle at the Cox Arena. Lorrenzo Wade added 15 points and six rebounds for SDSU (21-8, 11-5 MWC), while Tim Shelton grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds. Tre'Von Willis netted 16 points for UNLV (21-9, 9-7), while Rene Rougeau chipped in 12 points in the loss. The Rebels limited San Diego State to a meager 33.3 percent shooting effort from the field in the opening frame and went into the break with a 25-24 lead. The Aztecs returned the favor in the second stanza, holding UNLV to a poor 25.0 percent shooting performance, en route to the 11-point win. The Aztecs made 8-of-15 attempts from behind the arc, while UNLV connected on just 3-of-17 shots from long range.
