LAS VEGAS -- Wynn Hotel-Casino officials have confirmed they received a check from former NBA great Charles Barkley.Officials said on Tuesday afternoon that the check had been sent to the district attorney's office for processing.Wynn officials said the check is for an "unknown" amount.Officials said it's going to cost Barkley another $40,000 to close the case.Clark County District Attorney David Roger said Tuesday that prosecutors have been in touch with a Barkley representative, and they expect another check to pay the 10 percent processing fee imposed once a bad check lawsuit is filed.Roger said the case remains open until Barkley pays the remaining money.Barkley had said on Monday he paid his loan to the Wynn and was giving up gambling.A complaint filed last week said Barkley borrowed four $100,000 gambling markers from the Wynn on Oct. 18 and 19. When he finished playing, the report said, Barkley left the debt unpaid.
