What is One Class at a Time?
One Class at a Time is a teacher recognition program that awards teachers $1,000 that they can use to enrich their students’ education.

How does it work?
FOX5 and City National Bank, in partnership with the Clark County School District, are teaming up to help educators across the valley through FOX5’s One Class at a Time. Each month you can nominate a teacher who deserves recognition for his or her efforts. FOX5 and City National will present $1,000 to the selected teacher, who will be featured on a FOX5 news broadcast. Fill out the application if you would like to nominate a teacher.

May Winner
Mrs. Rebecca Gray
Congratulations to Mrs. Rebecca Gray, Art Teacher at James I. Gibson Elementary School! Mrs. Gray created an incredible competition that ties in with her art history program called the Art-Smart-A-Thon. The Art-Smart-A-Thon is a competition in which 30 students compete by taking a written test and identifying various pieces of art. The unique part of this program is that many of Mrs. Gray’s students were taught some of this information as early as first grade. By the time they are in 3rd, they are able to compete in the Art-Smart-A-Thon. Mrs. Gray has not only shared this program with other local schools, but has presented it at national conventions.
Mrs. Gray was awarded $1,000 from City National Bank for her dedication and commitment to teaching.

Thank You Mrs. Gray!
