LAS VEGAS -- Michael McClinton took the stand Friday afternoon in the O.J. Simpson armed robbery and kidnapping trial.Clark County District Attorney David Roger said he plans to rest his case after McClinton’s testimony.McClinton is the man who has said he brought guns to a Las Vegas casino hotel room at Simpson's request and wielded one during a confrontation over memorabilia.Prior to McClinton’s testimony, jurors heard recordings of police investigators referring to the former football star with foul language and chuckling about his impending arrest.The head of the police robbery division is heard on one audiotape referring to Simpson's acquittal in the 1995 slaying of his ex-wife and her friend in Los Angeles.The tapes were heard during testimony from the lead detective in the case.Simpson and Stewart have pleaded not guilty to 12 charges, including kidnapping, armed robbery, coercion and assault with a deadly weapon.For more information on the Simpson case, visit the case's special section or view the national coverage.
