O.J. Statements Get Under Way Monday

All-White Jury Seated Thursday

Friday was a day off for the O.J. Simpson case, but first thing Monday, opening statements get under way.

The jury was seated late Thursday.

It's an all-white jury panel of nine women and three men.

The defense argued that African-Americans were being excluded by the prosecution. The judge dismissed that complaint.

It was a year ago on Saturday when police said Simpson and co-defendant Clarence Stewart staged the heist to retrieve sports memorabilia.

Simpson argues they were his belongings in the first place.

It was a day of rest in the armed robbery and kidnapping trial involving O.J. Simpson and Clarence Stewart.
