LAS VEGAS -- Tuesday was day two of jury selection in the O.J. Simpson armed robbery and kidnapping trial.Court officials continued grilling dozens of potential jurors.There were several factors as jury selection continued. There were those with biased opinions of Simpson, and others who might compromise the integrity of the process.A heckler greeted Simpson outside the courthouse Tuesday morning.Inside the courtroom, the tedious task of selecting jurors and alternates from dozens of candidates continued.The panel will decide if Simpson and his co-defendants robbed Palace Station last year.Attorneys wanted to know what potential jurors thought of Simpson and what potential jurors thought about his 1995 murder trial.One candidate was excused after she admitted she thought he had gotten away with murder.Legal experts said in depth questioning is required because of opinions like that one."The lawyers can only look into the jurors’ eyes to a certain extent. And what their heart is may be different than what their eyes show. And that's why they are being very tedious," said FOX5 political analyst Bob Massi.Attorneys also said they feared online wagering sites taking bets on the outcome of the trial could tamper with the process.The judge warned potential jurors about taking bribes.Jury selection could take the rest of the week, and the rest of the trial could take five weeks.For more information on the Simpson case, visit the case's special section or view the national coverage.
