LAS VEGAS -- Presidential candidates Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain are about even in Nevada, according to a new poll. This comes as Nevada voters said the U.S. economy tops their priority list.A new poll by the Review-Journal released Sunday showed that 47 percent of respondents said they would vote for Obama, while 45 percent say they will vote for McCain. Since the margin of error is 4 percentage points, this still keeps both candidates in a dead heat.Six percent of respondents said they are still undecided.Officials with the Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Company conducted the poll last week after the Tuesday debate between the candidates. In August, the poll showed McCain leading Obama 46 percent to 39 percent, with 15 percent of voters undecided.Another key part of the questionnaire showed that voters are most concerned with the U.S. economy, while the war in Iraq and national security take second and third, respectively.Just more than 70 percent of registered voters surveyed said the economy ranks as the most important issue in determining their presidential vote, the survey said. The Iraq war and national security issues lagged far behind at 8 percent.Democrats were more likely to list economy as their top issue. Republicans were more likely to list national security as the top issue.A total of 625 registered Nevada voters were interviewed, including 415 in Clark County.
