LITTLETON, N.H. -- One of Sen. Barack Obama's highest-profile supporters will visit New Hampshire next month when Oprah Winfrey joins the campaign in the Granite State.

Winfrey Offers Obama Campaign Boost

Winfrey will visit New Hampshire on Dec. 9. The details of her visit haven't been released, but Obama said Winfrey's presence will help him reach more voters as the primary approaches.

"People will certainly come to an event to see Oprah, and that means I've got access to more people, and hopefully I can tell them the kind of change I want to bring about," Obama said.

Voters who attended Obama's events on Monday said while Winfrey may bring more people in to see Obama, he would still need to convince them that he deserves their votes.

"Oprah's fine. If she can swing some votes for him, that's grand but it's Barack Obama that will do it," voter Anita Craven said.

Obama agreed, saying that he will take advantage of the extra attention Winfrey may provide.

"It helps to create the event, but I'm going to have to make the sale for people to support me," he said.

Obama met with undeclared voters Monday at a round-table discussion before moving to a rally at Littleton High School. Most in the high school crowd were not yet old enough to vote, but those who are said they liked what they heard.

"I have confidence that this man can bring us together in a way no one has been able to do for many years in my adult life," said Erin Woo, of Bethlehem, N.H.

Details of Winfrey's visit are expected to be released as Dec. 9 approaches.
