Les Krifaton joined FOX5 in June 2004.

Les was born in Budapest, Hungary, but grew up in Canada. He studied Creative Arts in Montreal where he started his television career as a weather presenter and helped launch The Weather Network.

After five years in Montreal, he was transferred to Vancouver, British Columbia, where he worked as a reporter, then to Toronto, Ontario, where he was a news anchor before heading to the United States.

Les is a big supporter of the Enduring Freedom KIA Fund, a nonprofit organization that helps the families of military personal killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Les is also a licensed commercial pilot with an Instrument Flight Rating and is certified on three different types of aircraft.

He’s currently enrolled at Mississippi State University working on the final year of his degree in Meteorology.

Les's other passion is fitness. He works out regularly including running 20 to 30 miles a week.
