Shelley Bruner

FOX5 News At 5, 5:30 & 10 Anchor

Shelley Bruner joined the FOX5 news team in 2001 after a three-year stay in New Mexico. Before New Mexico, Shelley worked for KAMC-TV in Lubbock, Texas as weekend anchor/general assignment reporter.

Shelley was born in Cambridge, Mass., but moved to Phoenix with her family when she was young. She was named "Outstanding Broadcast Journalism Graduate" of her class at Northern Arizona University.

She began her career at KSAZ-TV, Fox 10 News in Phoenix, working as an associate producer. By landing a position in a big market directly out of college, Shelley was able to sharpen her writing skills and learn to work quickly under deadline pressure. Shelley credits this experience for providing a solid foundation with which to continue her professional career as a live field reporter and anchor.

Shelley is becoming very involved in the Southern Nevada Community. She currently serves as a board member for Positively Kids, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of medically fragile children. She has also supported the efforts of the Animal Humane Associations of New Mexico and Arizona.

Shelley resides in Henderson.
