Amy Carabba brings her experience, professionalism, and yes, personality to Fox 5's morning show as their spunky feature reporter known as…"Extreme Amy"! Originally from an island in Washington State, Amy moved to California to begin her news career as a reporter and anchor on cable television in San Francisco. She received her B.A. in Broadcast Journalism at San Francisco State University.Her next move took her to the cowboy state where she worked as an anchor/weather anchor and reporter for KCWY in Wyoming. While there Amy was recognized by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters in 2007 as KCWY's "Best Female News Anchor." Her next stop was KBAK in Bakersfield, California as a morning anchor/reporter. While there she also hosted an entertainment show called “Better Bakersfield” and awarded over $25,000 dollars to outstanding teachers in Kern County as part of the program “One Classroom at a time.”Amy is known for her out of the ordinary style of reporting. Her creative flair and fearlessness is what stands out when facing challenges live on air. Amy loves waking up early to make viewers smile, as well as deliver breaking news.On her free time, she loves "lunching", spending time with friends and family, exploring big cities, cooking, dancing, and more importantly playing electric guitar! Music is her second passion, even though she's not good at it.
