In July of 2008, Lauren came to Las Vegas from Buddy Holly’s hometown of Lubbock, Texas. During her time in there, she had the opportunity to interview his muse, Peggy Sue.

She also covered the death penalty case involving a former U.S. Marine accused of killing two young women; and she followed the imprisonment and eventual release of two men wrongly convicted of murder.

Before that, Lauren interned at KPRC in Houston, wrote for a magazine, and worked in public relations.

Lauren is a graduate of Rice University, where she studied psychology and sport management. She was a distance runner for the Lady Owls and a two-time Texas State Champion.

Lauren still loves to run, and now she gets to take her time with it! She ran the Chicago marathon in 2007, and plans to run another when it cools off.

When she’s not working or running, you can usually find Lauren watching "Caddyshack" for the millionth time, playing with her Yorkie-Poo, Lucy, or planning her next overseas adventure.

Lauren has traveled all over Europe and South America, and sometimes refuses to leave! She even lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Waterford, Ireland, for a bit.
