Two home foreclosure prevention workshops are being held in Las Vegas Saturday.

Both workshops, hosted by Sen. Harry Reid, are targeted toward struggling Nevada homeowners who want to speak with a HUD-approved housing counselor and their lender for help avoiding foreclosure.

Those interested in attending either workshop should bring the following financial documents if requesting workout assistance from their lender: Copies of last two months' pay stubs and bank statements; if self-employed, the most recent profit and loss statement and a copy of the last full tax return with all schedules; and a letter explaining the hardship they are experiencing.

Both workshops will be held at the Lied Memorial Boys and Girls Club, 2850 Lindell Road.

The first session runs from 8 to 11 a.m. and the second session is from 1 to 4 p.m.

For more information or to RSVP, call Reid’s Las Vegas office at 702-388-5020 or email Reid's office.
