NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- North Las Vegas police will be setting up speed traps Sunday on major thoroughfares in the city.

Police said the speed enforcement event will run from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Speeding causes numerous deaths each year and there will be zero tolerance for unsafe driving during Sunday’s enforcement, police said . Police will be assisted by the Nevada Highway Patrol and the Mesquite Police Department and is paid for with a state grant.
