LAS VEGAS -- With temperatures reaching the 80s, Las Vegas resorts have begun unveiling new and improved pools designed to lure guests out of the casinos and into the sunshine.

The newest additions to the pool scene include ARIA’s liquid and the HRH Beach Club at the Hard Rock resort.

FOX5 cameras were the first ever allowed inside the new pool area, which sits adjacent to the new HRH tower.

Pool season is not only a draw for tourists and locals, it also boost the economy by putting thousands to work every year. Hard Rock officials said 120 people were hired for the resort’s new pool.

Wynn Resorts announced earlier this month that it would fill 400 positions at its new Strip-side beach and nightclub area.

The Encore Beach Club has been under construction for months on the west side of Encore, right along Las Vegas Boulevard. It will be the first resort beach attraction directly facing the Strip.

Construction is also under way on the Surrender Nightclub, the second club at Encore, after XS.

Both projects are expected to open in the summer.
