Group Ranks State No. 2 In Nation

LAS VEGAS -- Nevada continues to hemorrhage jobs during the recession, but one lobbying group said the state is still among the friendliest to small businesses.The Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council ranked Nevada No. 2 on its annual Small Business Survival Index, which measures factors including tax structure, property rights, health care and energy costs.South Dakota was ranked No. 1 on the list. Texas, Wyoming and Washington rounded out the top five, respectively.The full report can be found at the group’s Web site.
