LAS VEGAS -- Mixed-martial arts fighter Junie Browning is wanted by Las Vegas Metro police after he failed to appear in court to face charges of assaulting staff members at St. Rose Dominican Hospital.Browning, 24, was kicked out of the Ultimate Fighting Championship organization after his arrest last month. Police said he attacked nurses who tried to treat him following a failed suicide attempt.According to his arrest report, Browning threatened hospital staff, screaming, “Do you know who I am? I will kill you and rape your family.”He was charged with three counts of battery.Dubbed “Lunatik” during his stint on the “Ultimate Fighter” reality series, Browning returned to fighting after the incident and is due to appear at the MMA: Big Show Onslaught event Nov. 28 in Indiana.FOX5 attempted to contact him for an interview, but was met with a profanity-laced recorded message and the calls were not returned.Browning’s Web profile states that he moved to Las Vegas from Kentucky in order to further his career. In an interview posted on the Web page, he said he got into mixed-martial arts because, “I can’t read very good, so I figured college wasn’t going to work out.”“Plus I knew I was going to get into a bunch of fights anyway so I might as well do it where I won’t get arrested,” he said.
