NORTH LAS VEGAS -- North Las Vegas police said they chased a man with a gun on foot and caught him after he attempted to rob a Quiznos Monday night.The attempted robbery occurred in the 6300 block of Simmons, and NLV police spokeswoman Chrissie Coon said police think the man threw a gun onto the top of a business in the shopping mall before he was caught.Helicopters were searching for the gun as robbery detectives investigated the scene.Both Metro and NLV police said they believe the man is a high-profile robbery suspect that they had combined efforts on by putting out fliers with the man’s photos on them.
