Gibbons Orders Flag Lowering To Honor Ft. Hood Victims

Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons has ordered the flags at state buildings to be flown at half-staff through Wednesday to honor those killed in a mass shooting at the Fort Hood military base in Texas.

Gibbons' office said flags will be lowered at the Grant Sawyer Building in Las Vegas, the Capitol in Carson City and other state buildings starting Friday and running through Veterans Day.

Officials said 13 people were killed and 30 wounded after Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly went on a shooting spree at the sprawling Texas post on Thursday.
