LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas man who ran over a toddler when pulling out of a driveway won’t face criminal charges, police said Wednesday.

Manuel Bermudez, 22, said he couldn’t see the boy, 1-year-old Ismael Guerrero Jr., as he pulled his Chevrolet out of the driveway to park on a street near Pelham Court and Sacramento Drive Sunday night.

The child followed Bermudez out of the home, police said, and was run over by the vehicle’s rear tire.
