Metro made holiday shopping safety its priority in Tuesday night's First Tuesday meeting.

Topics included tips on how to shop and park safely and how to protect your home while traveling. Metro said while some of the tips are common sense, some may be new to you.

Metro said while holiday shopping, you should use these tips: shop in pairs, park in well-lit areas, keep valuables out of sight and firmly hold your purse while shopping.
