LAS VEGAS -- Downsized Nevadans may be getting a big extension on their unemployment benefits.Related Link: Department of Employment, Training & RehabilitationSen. Harry Reid said he has proposed a bill that would extend unemployment benefits for up to 14 weeks."Until the economy comes back with jobs, we're going to have people who can't find work, and that's what this is all about -- taking care of those people who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own," Reid said.The bill would also provide an additional six weeks for those living in hard-hit states like Nevada.The Senate is expected to pass the bill later this week.
