Horses OK After Trailer Crash

LAS VEGAS -- A horse trailer crash caused a large, rush hour traffic jam in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 and Sahara Avenue Monday afternoon.Five horses were in the trailer, and authorities said they were having a difficult time moving them out of the trailer because of the damage to it.
Horses Safely Transported After Trailer CrashBlue Ribbon Stables arrived at the scene and moved the horses. None of the horses was injured, police said.Police said the trailer’s driver was sent to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.Traffic was at a crawl for about 90 minutes until the scene was clear. The crash occurred at about 4 p.m. Monday.
