NORTH LAS VEGAS -- A small, home-built plane made a hard landing on a street in North Las Vegas, near Texas Station Casino, after taking off from the North Las Vegas Airport.Video:

North Las Vegas Has History Of Plane CrashesThe pilot of the experimental aircraft was transported to University Medical Center with minor injuries. A passenger in the plane refused medical treatment.Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said there was substantial damage to the Dragonfly Mark II after the crash. He said the FAA plans to investigate.Gregor said the plane left North Las Vegas on a local flight and intended to return to the same airport.Video:
