Video: Students Want To End Use Of 'R' Word

The UNLV chapter of Best Buddies and students from S.E.C.T.A.’s PACE Program are working to end use of the "R" word. They said use of the words "retard" or "retarded" is unacceptable when referring to people with mental disabilities.

That's why students joined-in on the Spread the Word to End the Word campaign Wednesday.

Concerned students and volunteers signed a 50-foot banner pledging not to use the words in a derogatory way.
