LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas Metro police officer injured in a crash that killed his partner is home after spending more than a week in a hospital.

David Nesheiwat, 25, was in critical condition following the Oct. 7 rollover accident near Nellis Boulevard and Washington Avenue.

His partner, Officer Milburn Beitel, died at University Medical Center. The Silverado High School graduate was buried in Green Valley last week.

Police have not released details of their investigation into the crash, although Sheriff Doug Gillespie said the police cruiser did not appear to have collided with another car.
