Dozens of Las Vegans lined up early Monday morning to be among the first to get the H1N1 vaccine at the Southern Nevada Health District’s weeklong vaccine clinic.

Survey: Will You Get The H1N1 Vaccine?

Inhaled and injected versions of the vaccine will be distributed until Friday while supplies last at the health district’s main office on Shadow Lane. The clinics are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

While the vaccine is approved for healthy people ages 2 to 49, health officials said this week’s clinic is only for the priority group, which includes:

  • Pregnant women
  • People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months old
  • Health care and emergency medical services personnel with direct patient contact
  • Children 6 months through 4 years old
  • Children 5 through 18 years old who have chronic medical conditions
  • The first 20,600 doses of the inhaled vaccine were made available to southern Nevadans earlier this month.

More information about the clinics and H1N1 can be found at the health district’s Web site.
